HD Vision Sunglasses $14.99 Tester Grade: A+
Those sunny days we're having can be great just about anywhere — except when you're in the car driving. That's because sun glare can be annoying — and dangerous. Our I-Team found a new invention that's supposed to help. Who better to test them than a man who drives all day...all summer long? Sound of trolley They're just as common a sight in Lake George as the boats — and the bikes. Sound of birds And while a sunny day like this may cause visibility problems on the water some say it causes more problems on the road — especially for the trolley drivers. John Missita/Trolley Driver: "You get a glare from the sun....no doubt about it...but you have to just grin and bear it...you know, look through it." But what if John Missita didn't have to just grin and bear it? We gave him these... John Missita: "Ahh...it makes things pretty nice." They're HD Vision Sunglasses that sell for about 15 bucks. Sound of TV commercial John Missita: "Where you going to?" John got his passengers and hit the road for a run to Bolton Landing — to really test them out. John Missita: "I think I look pretty handsome in them...huh? They would enhance anybody's looks especially if you're ugly like I am." We disagreed with John on that point...but as for the real purpose of the glasses... John Missita: "I don't see any glare at all." He had all good things to say. John Missita: "The lake is nice and blue. Brings out the color...really really really nice glasses." In fact...in between stops....and navigating through the summer traffic...he couldn't say enough about them. John Missita: "I really don't even know they're on my face. They're very light." He told us he's been burned by a lot of bad sunglasses that cost a pretty penny....but for 15 bucks... John Missita: "I would highly recommend them." That's whether you're a professional driver or not. Sound of change But even as John's run was drawing to a close.... Sound of John in mirror: "Bye-bye now." He just couldn't help admiring himself in his new glasses again...and hoping his riders would too. John Missita: "They'll probably make me look like a movie star in here...driving along...they'll probably think I'm John Travolta or somebody..." We told John he looked just like John Travolta. You probably won't be surprised to find out that John gave the HD Vision glasses an A-plus....we haven't had one of those in a while! *We bought our HD Vision Glasses at Boscov's
