Boy who fell from 11-story window remains in serious condition
(Albany, NY - AP) — The 4-year-old Albany boy who fell from an 11-story window this weekend remains in serious condition.
Four-year-old Hasim Townswend is being treated for injuries — including a fractured skull — at Albany Medical Center. Doctors say his life may have been saved by the awning he fell on.
Hasim's mother, 21-year-old Elizabeth Burciaga, pleaded not guilty yesterday to one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
A judge has issued an order of protection, and Burciaga will undergo a psychiatric evaluation
