State Republican Party picks new executive director
<^ BOSTON The Massachusetts Republican Party has a new executive director. Brian Dodge, who worked for ex-governors Paul Cellucci and Jane Swift, replaces outgoing GOP Executive Director Matt Wylie. After leaving the Statehouse in 2001, the Groveland native worked in the Washington office of New York Congressman Jack Quinn. He later joined the lobbying firm Cassidy and Associates. State GOP Chairman Darrell Crate says one of Dodge's top goals will be to help elect Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey to the governor's office and assist other Republican candidates. Mark Rowe who headed the state party on an interim basis will continue to serve as deputy chairman.
