Pawtucket 8, Buffalo 2
(Buffalo, NY - AP) David Pauley gave up two runs in seven innings and Luke Allen homered to lead the Pawtucket Red Sox in an 8-2 win over the Buffalo Bisons in International League play. Pauley, a combined 0-4 with Pawtucket and Boston this year, earned the win. Allen's solo homer in the fourth inning extended Pawtucket's lead to 3-0. Buffalo's Ben Francisco tripled in the sixth then scored on Jason Alfaro's RBI groundout, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Pawtucket made the score 6-1 in the seventh on a two RBI double by David Murphy and an RBI single by Jeff Bailey. The Red Sox' Dustin Pedroia started the scoring with an RBI groundout to score Trent Durrington in the third. Ron Calloway gave Pawtucket a 2-0 lead with a fourth-inning single that brought home Wily Mo Pena. Jeremy Guthrie.
