The Capital Region wakes up with Tom Mailey! Each weekday morning on CBS 6 News, Meteorologist Tom Mailey forecasts Capital Region weather, and whether it will be a nice day or not, you can always count on Tom to brighten your day.

Tom has entertained and informed Capital Region television audiences since 1988, the year he joined CBS 6 as host of the wildly popular "The Big Money Movie." When "The Big Money Movie" became a part of broadcast history, Tom moved into the CBS 6 newsroom. In 1997, Tom received his Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.  He is a member of and has the Seal of Approval from The National Weather Association.

Tom’s news reports have received top honors from the Associated Press, including First Place for Best News Feature for a humorous piece entitled, "The Sheep."

Tom, his wife Louisa, daughters Grace and Sophie, along their Saint Bernards Clancy and Lumpy, live in Scotia.
